Some people who claim that they are health conscious do not really know that processed juice does not really give you real health benefits. As much as some juice producers says that all their products are natural and 100% pure juice with no sugar added, that is not entirely true. Yes, their juice is made up of real fruits but once it gets processed and bottled, all its natural fibers and minerals will be lost.

Making your own healthy juice:

To ensure that everything you drink is healthy then better choose real fruits and do the processing yourself.

  • Start making your own juice. You can either squeeze out the natural juices into your own glass or if you have a juicer then use it to squeeze out the juices instead. You don’t have to add sugar unless if the fruit you selected is still sour i.e. green mangoes.
  • It is also ideal if you combine vegetables and fruits in a juicer. This is a great option for children since it is always difficult for the parents to let them eat their vegetables. To keep your blood sugar balance you could also mix some protein nutrients to your juice.
  • Once your juice is made up, drink it right away. Storing up juices for a long time will decline its natural nutrients. If you cannot finish drinking your juice then put it in a tight air container. If oxygen gets in to that container it can cause damage to your juice.

Now that you have learned that processed juice is not healthy, you could start making alternative healthy drinks for you and your family.
